Sprawling across volcanic plateaus, Yellowstone National Park is the epicenter of everything that's still wild and untamed in the United States. The park was established in 1872 as the first national park, not only in America, but also in the world. Located in the Northwest corner of Wyoming; situated approximately 50 miles West of Cody, Wyoming and 55 miles North of Jackson, Wyoming, via Grand Teton National Park. The park is open all year, however all roads except between the Northeast and North entrances, and all visitor centers except Mammoth Hot Springs, close in the Winters.
