It’s the snow that brings people in masses to Vail, Colorado, a place that has a certain vibe that can’t be found anywhere else. Enjoy the over 5,000 acres that make up Vail and make sure to check out 2 of the favorite skiing sites, Back Bowls and the Blue Sky Basin. If you plan on doing a lot of skiing or snowboarding, check with your hotel to see if they have multiple day passes which will be cheaper than buying a daily lift ticket. While you are skiing, make sure to “go big” on the 14,000-foot mountain, which also sports several powder runs. Some more fun in the snow adventures to enjoy are: dog sledding, horseback riding, snowmobiling, sledding or ice-skating. You can even enjoy an adventurous hot air balloon ride for a breathtaking view. If you get tired of the skiing and want to partake in the nightlife, there are plenty of places for you to go. The city is host to several bars, nightclubs, local music and jazz clubs that are well known for their happy hours. There are plenty of restaurants serving everything from “ski bum sandwiches” to five-star dining. The shopping is also on a level of its own. Make this Spring Break memorable, enjoy Vail. And if there's not enough at Vail, try the nearby Avon - Beaver Creek area.
