The Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum, located in Mohawk Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, draws about 600,000 visitors each year, including 80,000 school children. There are 1,500 animals among about 430+ different species on exhibit, and many of them are in the rare and endangered category. The Zoo has a variety of different exhibits, for example, the Tropical American Rain Forest with plants, flowers and animals like jaguars, monkeys, tamarins, anacondas, birds and piranhas in a habitat of simulated trees, fallen logs, vines, Inca and Mayan ruins; also Siamang Island with monkeys and other primates. There's also a picnic area and a Children's Zoo.
The Tulsa Zoo is open all year except the third Friday in June and Christmas Day. Wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs are available for rent.
