The annual Super Bowl features the National Conference champions against the American Conference champions in pro football's biggest event of the year. The first Super Bowl game was played in January, 1967 after the 1966 season, and has grown to become a colossal sports event with tremendous media hype and pro football mania. The NFC holds the lead over the AFC in the 44 games by an edge of 24-20. Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010, featured the New Orleans Saints beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17.
Super Bowl XLV will be played at the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington, TX on Feb. 6, 2011.
