Orlando is a bustling city of amusement parks and tourists. It’s also near Lake Buena Vista, the host of the one and only DISNEY WORLD!!! Orlando is 4 miles from Universal Studios, 10 miles from Sea World and 20 miles from Walt Disney World. It is the BIGGEST city in central Florida and is dominated by Lake Eola in the northeastern downtown quadrant. You can also find a number of water parks in Orlando, the weather is generally nice, and it has an ideal climate for bathing suit attire.
Some of the area attractions for family fun are: the greatest museum of all times, Ripley’s Believe It or Not which has a collection of artifacts and stories of the bizarre and unreal. Take a break at a spa to help you relax and get ready for your next adventure. There are also many lakes surrounding Orlando where you can rent a boat or just hang by the beach for a day of fun and sun. The Kennedy Space Center is just a hop, skip and jump away at Cape Canaveral and features a museum with a number of real-life space artifacts that the general public can view. There is also Blue Springs State Park (about 40 miles north), which is the best place in the state to see manatees in their natural habitat. The Ocala National Forest (about 60 miles northwest) is a gigantic park with several natural springs and lakes and also features fantastic hiking, canoeing, fishing and swimming.
