Many of the world's most exotic animals are exhibited throughout the 110 lushly planted acres of the Oklahoma City Zoo at 2101 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City, OK. It is one of the top zoos in the nation with over 2,100 animals among the exhibits and gardens, providing an exciting educational and recreational experience. The Cat Forest & Lion Overlook with lions, tigers, and leopards; Great EscApe with gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees; Aquaticus with many exotic and colorful fish; Butterfly Garden; Herpetarium; Island Life; plus wolfs, foxes, hyenas, sea lions, zebra, giraffes, and more. Rides (fees apply) include the handcrafted, one-of-a-kind Endangered Species Carousel made from basswood and displaying 42 exotic animals; Children's Train; Safari Tram; Rock Climbing Wall; and the Morphis Virtual Simulator, a full-motion simulator, combining hydraulic motion, live action videos and computer generated visuals with surround sound, all creating realistic simulation adventures.
The Oklahoma City Zoo is open everyday except Christmas and New Year's Day. There are wheelchair, motorized wheelchairs, and stroller rentals, as well as refreshments, and picnic areas.
