The Mount Helena Music Festival takes place June 27-28 for 2008, in Helena, 'Queen City of the Rockies'. This historic and capital city of Montana hosts this multi-stage musical festival with each stage presenting a different type of music format. There are about 10-20 bands performing throughout various stages over the 2 days. There is rhythm and blues and rock. Some of the past performers have included: Johnny Rawls, Big Daddy and the Blue Notes, Blue Onion, Scott Ellison, Sonny Rhodes, Dr. Hector & the Groove Injectors, Honey Buckit, Ted Wulfers & Beggar's Bridge, Those Darn Accoridans, Levitators, Kickshaw, Ashbury Park Trio, Clumsy Lovers, Rising Lion, and Left Hand Smoke. In addition to the fabulous variety of music, there is a car show with over 100 cars, a sidewalk art market, crafts and special entertainment for the kids, as well as food and non-alcoholic refreshments, plus a beer garden by each stage.
