Back in 1969, Duff’s Bar and the Bradford’s Pub started a St. Patrick’s Day Parade for Minneapolis. It was a short parade between the two pubs with one float. Today it has become a celebrated parade in Minneapolis. The 2011 parade will be held Thursday, March 17, at 6:30pm on Nicollet Mall. It's a time when the revelers become "Erin Go Braugh", meaning "Ireland Forever", or at least for a day. For the adults there are several Irish Pub’s and Restaurants in the area such as O'Donovans, Kieran's Irish Pub and Restaurant and the Dubliner Pub to enjoy a traditional Irish drink or some green beer.

The Twin City of Saint Paul also has a well-known St Patricks Day Parade on March 17, 2011. Here, there also are a number Irish pubs and bars.

So join the 'craic', a Gaelic word meaning 'a lot of fun', and maybe someone will abide the claim "Kiss Me, I'm Irish".
