Manchester is New Hampshire's commercial and industrial leader, as well as its largest city and home of 10 percent of the state's population. The peaceful countryside offers easy drives to covered bridges (50 in the state, several nearby), scenic byways, lakes and hills and trees, the White Mountains to the north, the Atlanta ocean not far to the east, and the fantastic fall foliage in the Autumn.
