Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada is called the "World's Biggest Street Party!" There will be plenty of New Year's Eve-related activities among the five city blocks of strolling street performers, live music and unlimited food and drink. Street performers include music bands, mimes, stunning showgirls and more. 90 feet above a four-block section of Fremont Street is a canopy of 2.1 million lights, capable of producing millions of color combinations and 540,000 watts of concert quality sound. The shows are controlled by 36 computers and are accompanied by 218 speakers. In addition, the canopy houses 180 computer-programmed high-intensity strobe lights, 64 variable color lighting fixtures, and robotic mirrors, all of which aid in the miraculous display of each six-minute light and sound show presentation with 5 - 6 shows a night.

And, of course, along the fabulous Strip (South Las Vegas Boulevard) there will be plenty of spots to party - casino lounges, regular bars, as well as the most popular nightspots. Midnight witnesses a spectacular fireworks display on the Strip.
