Downtown redevelopment brought about the 70 million dollar Fremont Street Experience - the world’s first pedestrian gambling mall. During the day it is a 9-story barrel shaped canopy extending 4 blocks, but at night there are light shows every hour with 2 million light bulbs and 540,000 watts of sound.
