Established in 1907, Jasper National Park is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies with 10,878 square kilometers of mountain wilderness. The park contains a superb backcountry trail system as well as the celebrated Columbia Ice-fields. Jasper's combination of startlingly blue-green mountain lakes, soaring peaks, and broad forested valleys ranks it as one of the world's premiere national parks, plus it is internationally renowned for wildlife viewing. The park is home to some of North America's most rare animals, including healthy populations of grizzly bears, moose, caribou and wolves.
The park is on the border of Southwest Alberta, Canada, adjacent to and just North of Banff National Park. Activities: Canoeing, Kayaking, Nature Walks, Hiking, Photography, Swimming, Bicycle Trails, Horse Trails, and Fishing.
