This Wyoming ski area offers three different venues. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Teton Village, with terrain that spreads over two peaks, offers far more intermediate skiing then most other resorts. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is made up of two mountains; Après Vous and Rendezvous. Après has 2,100 vertical feet of groomers and glades, is known more for its intermediate terrain, and at its base is a beginners' slope with lift access. On Rendezvous Mountain you’ll find the terrain for which the resort is famous. There are advanced and intermediate courses and a tram the runs 4,100 vertical feet above the floor. Here you can enjoy some of the best skiing in the world.
Sitting at the edge of the larger town of Jackson, (12 miles from Teton Village), is Snow King Mountain, one of the country's great skiing bargains. Although relatively small (by expansive Western standards), Snow King's 400 skiable acres are challenging, lift lines are short and ticket prices can't be beat.
Forty miles north of Jackson, Grand Targhee Ski Resort averages 40 feet of snow each season - one of the greatest snowfall accumulations of any ski area in the world. Accessible by bus service from either Jackson or Teton Village, Grand Targhee features vast, wide-open runs and unforgettable vistas.
Towering over a mile above Jackson Hole, Grand Teton Mountain rises to 13,770 feet and there are 12 Tetons over 12,000 feet with a dozen mountain glaciers. If you feel like someone is watching you, there probably is - the Tetons and Jackson Hole is home to over 10,000 elk and many other creatures.
