About 80 miles South of Miami via US Highway 1 on the Florida Keys Overseas Highway rests the little town of Islamorada known as the "Sportfishing Capital of the World". On the Atlantic Ocean side of the keys are sailfish and tuna to fish and dolphin to view; in the backcountry waters of Florida Bay are tarpon and bonefish. Of course, there are various guides and charter fishing boats available. The array of marine life inhabiting the coral reefs add interest for divers. Landlubbers can view dolphin and other deep sea stars at Windley Key's Theater of the Sea. Treasure Village offers galleries and shops. There is also a white sand beach, great restaurants and a variety of lodging. Islamorada is between Key Largo and Marathon with Key West about 80 miles away at the end of the Keys Highway.
