Earlier in the day, near Broadway Pier, about 10AM, the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade, recognized as "America's Largest Balloon Parade", takes place. Thousands of visitors and locals enjoy the massive inflatables, more than any other parade in the country, colorful floats, heart-pounding marching bands, unique drill teams, even racing wiener dogs, a battle of the universities' bands, and carnival. In the afternoon, prior to game time, at the Practice Field, is the EndZoner's Tailgate Party - the place to be for pre-game fun and entertainment. There's great refreshments, a mouth-watering barbeque, live music and the traditional Ugly Hawaiian Shirt Contest. You must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
