The Destin, Florida area offers over 1,000 holes of golf. The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has four outstanding courses: Baytowne, Burnt Pine, The Links, and The Raven. Destin has been called "The Jewel of the Emerald Coast" because of the natural splendor of its white sandy beaches and its emerald blue waters. Formerly a sleepy little fishing village, it has blossomed into a full-fledged beach, golf and tennis resort area. It has developed a reputation as having premiere golf, with many challenging and picturesque courses. There are courses that have been designed by world-renowned architects like Dye, Cupp and Fazio, utilizing the existing woods and wetlands, bays and bayous for scenic, yet challenging play. Also enjoy the many beaches at Destin, as well as those in either direction, from Fort Walton Beach to Panama City Beach.
