Hotel Reservations near COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME
Spanning an entire city block and soaring 107 feet high, the new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum at 5th Avenue South and Demonbreun Street is in the heart of downtown Nashville’s entertainment district. It is a world-class facility that honors the cultural significance of country music and the heroic achievements of those who form its membership. Inside, you'll see an enormous two-story wall that displays every gold and platinum record ever to make the country charts. You can view the crown jewels of a million-item collection that illustrates a story told through the turning of two centuries. An only-in-Nashville adventure awaits you with a treasure trove of historic country video clips and important recorded music, state-of-the-art exhibits, a museum store, and daily live satellite radio broadcasts. Professional "pickers" are available in the soundproof 75-seat Songwriter’s Theater to introduce visitors to the instruments typically used on country recordings. Songwriters regularly entertain and enlighten museum guests with in-the-round guitar pulls and song swaps, which is a unique Nashville tradition. They are opened every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
While here, include a visit to Studio B, Nashville’s oldest surviving recording studio, and stand in the legendary room where Elvis crooned, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” and where Dolly recorded “Jolene” and other great hits. (Tours depart from the Country Music Hall of Fame daily.)
