Branson, Missouri has been dubbed the "Live Entertainment Capital of the World" with many entertainment venues and a variety of music, events, and activities year-round in the midst of the Ozark Mountains. The Branson area has about 45 theatres and has more theater seats than New York's Broadway theater district and even Las Vegas. There are morning and afternoon shows that are just as spectacular as the evening shows. In addition, Branson offers many other activities; such as, museums; Stone Hill Winery tours; show boats, fishing, & water activities on Table Rock Lake; golf & mini-golf; go karts; water park; and the famous Silver Dollar City theme park.
AFTER 2008, THE BRANSON FEST IS NO LONGER BEING HELD, however there is a smorgasboard of entertainment and events to take in, almost anytime. One big event in the Spring, (April 8 - May 9 in 2010), is the Silver Dollar City World-Fest providing an international flare of entertainment, food, and culture from around the world - America’s Largest International Festival.
